Every row after that is stitched bead by bead through the row below, so the plan lists each row as runs of color: “3 × color 1, 1 × color 4, 3 × color 1”. Read a run, string it, move on.
Wrists differ. A tile that repeats cleanly at any multiple of its width fits a 6-inch wrist and an 8-inch wrist with the same design. The bead count rounds up to the next full repeat so the pattern meets itself at the seam instead of being cut mid-motif.
The four colors are positions in the chosen palette, not exact bead dyes. Match the light-dark relationship first, then pick the closest hue you own. The color combinations page explains each palette’s contrast note.
